Orang Asli Village

Orang Asli is a Malay term that translates as 'original people'. They are the indigenous people of Malaysia who exist in a quiet yet beautiful world on their own, living on the fringe of mainstream society. It is the world of the forest people. The Orang Asli of Cameron Highlands are from the Senoi, Temier, Jakun and Negrito tribes and many of their villages can be seen in Cameron Highlands and along the road up the hill from the Tapah interchange on the North-South Expressway. You may visit some of these villages deep in the forest with a guide who will provide the necessary information on these people. You will experience how these simple folks live and even try your hand at using the blowpipe, their primary weapon for hunting.
